"hunt down" and kill the Pope

These people are so dumb. Hunt down? Everyone knows where he lives. Why hunt?

And yet... there seem to be so many Catholics who vote 'D' - is that just ignorance, or is it something far worse?

Ignorance and a lot of stupidity. I don't think some Catholics even realize what is important and unimportant. There is a widespread mistaken idea that Catholic "social justice" teaching requires the support of socialistic schemes and that this is of primary importance. They are also being sadly misled by many leftists who have taken control of the church bureaucracy.

Trust me, our President knows better, he HAS to say that publicly. And, I suspect the Pope will have to do more apologizing as the Christians in Arab countries will pay the price for his comment. This will not end until Muslims stop teaching hate crimes and calling it religion.

The preisthood is becoming more conservative but it takes time. These new preists have a big job ahead of them trying to turn congregations back to Cathoic teaching and away from the almost total emphasis on social justice.

Just sitting here reading all this stuff from the Pope to the article from the CFP about AQ's next attack...and thinking ... maybe because it is Sunday... but...

These are really mysterious times we live in. There is a FReeper running all through these boards posting what the Pope really lectured, but maybe that wasn't what we were supposed to see & hear or learn.

Another is posting messianic revelations...

I would simply ask, "Who holds the key to the bottomless pit?" It is one of the most argued points of the Bible. Perhaps they all have it wrong...and it was symbollically the Pope?

Reading the below passages in light of recent events. Keeping in mind the expectations of the 'polite war.'

Revelation 9
1The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. (the Pope?)

2When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. (the pending attack from AQ posted in the CFP interview?)

3And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. (US retaliation?)

4They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. (our polite war?)

5They were not given power to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

6During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

I was very pleased to read the Pope's comments, but distressed to read his "apology." If a man who claims to be the apostolic successor to Peter and the Vicar of Christ is willing to retract a truthful statement, what hope exist that anyone will speak the truth.

Ah, yes - the equality and freedom so lovingly espoused by that great book are so vividly displayed in that photograph, how could anyone fail to see?

With the possible exception of those whose minds are so perversely set against the Prophet, of course.

In which case they will be dealt with compassionately and mercifully - with the Holy Butcher's Knife...

Actually I don't read it as he apologized for his statement...

He apologized for the muslim reaction, no? "... he was "deeply sorry" about the angry reaction sparked... " It is not the same thing as a retraction of the statement. He is making the apology that the Muslim Clerics should be making. That is why this apology and statement Saturday were not 'acceptable' to the muslims.

Hey guys,,,check out the picture that goes with this story. Take a good HARD look at the figure onthe far right of the picture. Please note that a] You will note that the veil is transparent enough to see that this person is a MAN [note the facial hair under the nose [You'll need a good phot programme to see this.] and b] This same figure is carrying what appears to be a shopping bag.

Muslims leaders around the world demanded a more personal apology from the Pope last night after the Vatican said he "sincerely regrets" the offence caused by remarks which they claimed had insulted Islam.

THAT'S NOT WHAT HE SAID.

We actually had people walk out of a sermon when the priest said that candidates who support abortion should not get votes from Catholics.

If I witnessed that. I would just hope that I didn't see them back in the pews the next Sunday. Just keep right on walking.

Last night I witnessed something that was so outrageous, that I could hardily believe it. A woman at a N.O.W. convention stood up and said, (paraphrased but not exaggerated)

"Just because a woman has sex, that does not mean that she wants a fetus inside of her. That fetus is an invasion of her body. And invaders need to be repelled, by violent means if necessary."

Uproar has one more r than rage. We need more words to describe nuances of arab rage.

Some of them are doing the best they can themselves. Only problem is the most dedicated, energetic ones don't last long.
