"Even under Vladimir Putin, life for Big Business can be sweet."

You bet it is, all those incredible profits on crude oil & natural gas, but especially considering Putin and his hand picked KGB political hacks continue raking in the dough by the barrel full, by selling all sorts of offensive advanced offensive weaponry to OPEC communist thugs and OPEC jihadist anti-Western proxies as well. Putin's longer range agenda is brazenly obvious.

Or is that just more simple minded, Cold War era American propaganda stated by birdbrained conservative nitwits that have no idea the 'new' Mother-Russia is the greatest thing since sliced bread?

'It's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's Moscow's Energy Man!'

Comrade, can you recall when you were not doing PR for Putin's Kremlin crowd?

"Putin has endowed this electorate with a meaningful voice for the first time in Russia’s history."

You're really something else... What nerve..

You have to be the most hate filled individual I have ever encountered. Go crawl back into your hole.

A Christian stands up for truth even when it goes against his views.

The reason Belarus recevied gas at $47 mcm is Gazprom was negogating for the Belarus pipeline. If you would have done your homework you would know Gazprom is going to be charging Belarus market prices in 2007, which is $230. The price for Ukraine will only be $135, which is almost half price.

Russia to Sell Gas to Belarus at European Market Prices from 2007 — Gazprom

Pro-Moscow Belarus now pays a rock-bottom price of roughly $47 per 1,000 cubic meters of Russian natural gas. Belarus is the only former Soviet republic that did not get higher rates from Moscow last year, The Associated Press reported. Oil and gas analyst Oleg Maximov with the Troika Dialog investment bank in Moscow called Gazprom’s stance a “bargaining chip” to acquire control over Belarusian pipeline operator Beltransgaz, which also carries Russian gas to lucrative Western markets.

Russia, Belarus On Verge Of Dispute Over Gas Prices

April 4, 2006 -- The deputy head of Russia's Gazprom has confirmed that the giant state-owned company hopes to triple prices that Belarus pays for its natural gas.

Aleksandr Ryazanov said today that Gazprom wants to switch to market prices starting from 2007. The head of the company, Aleksei Miller, made a similar statement last week.

Belarus currently buys Russian gas at a subsidized price of $47 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Ryazanov said that the new price should be "at least" three times higher than it is now.

Well, our resident kegebuns and their kegebuchie fellow-travelers do serve a purpose, even two useful purposes:educational and entertaining. In a sense, one should be grateful to them for bringing the enemy up close, for otherwise the educational function would become more difficult. Just like the north korean embassies put out their PR materials, choke full of so exaggerated cult of "dear leader" that they become a kind of printed comics - and a must read comics, too, and highly educational. Ditto here, but on a bit different level.
