"undue and unnecessary burdens"

Try renting a video, cashing a check or even signing up for a library card without picture ID. This is the "burden" we would like to ask for when voting. The reason for asking is the past fraud of the dead or illegals or felons voting time and time again. My legal vote can be cancelled by a vote cast by fraud.

This "Voter ID" bill, would require voters in federal elections to provide picture identification by 2008 and provide proof of U.S. citizenship by 2010.

It was among the recommendations made last year by the bipartisan Commission on Federal Election Reform, headed by former President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, and former Secretary of State James A. Baker III, a Republican.

Texas DMV will issue ID's for a small fee--they look just like a driver's license, IIRC (my grandma had one for check cashing purposes, etc)--how is obtaining and using an ID card going to be hard on someone?? I don't get it. TX ID CARD (Go down toward the middle of the chart)
