The VA does this for free and usually does not make it voluntary. They do it for other reasons, but it's a damn good idea. People need to know when they have any STD..

Many people don't wish to know if they have any disease. Many people don't wish others to know either.

I did not want to know either, but after some soul searching, I decided otherwise. My first reaction was "no way"!

Privacy is assured in the medical environments, but it is not the reason why we continue to have more and more infections. The reason is largely that people either don't know, or they refuse to take proper precautions.

The recent surge in Herpes is another bugaboo....It seems that many of the last generation (twenty somethings)has some STD. This could cause all sorts of problems with other related diseases.

It don't look good, as they say, and Herpes is just as incurable as aids.
