The Dems were caught off guard. They probably expected some blustery rhetoric but the smile drained from their faces as his diatribe evolved and decended into insanity. They saw too late that America would make the linkage between the global fomentors of terror and their fundamental views. Expect more damage control. Too little too late I hope.
I do appreciate these two Democrats. I also agree with you that there has been cross fertilization between them and our foreign foes. In addition, the domestic opposition to Bush has encouraged our enemies abroad. I am not saying we should have no opposition in our free country, but it is being misread and encouraging our enemies.
