LAHORE, Pakistan -- About 1,000 Muslim clerics and religious scholars meeting yesterday in eastern Pakistan demanded the removal of Pope Benedict for making what they called "insulting remarks" against Islam.

I agree. I think the trip is a bad idea. Turks are hostile to western culture and many in Turkey would consider the pope's death some kind of badge of honor for them. Not to mention there is too much warning for the islamo-facists to set up camp in Turkey waiting for him.

If I understand some of the Papal prophesy, this Pope is going to have a short reign and the next one will be the "defector"

I certianly hope his term is not cut short by these crazy people.
