XM and Clear Channel Radio Hosts Join Murtha Swiftboating Event (Major Barf Alert)
Patriot Post (Left-Wing Blog) ^ | September 22, 2006 | Taylor Marsh

We at the Patriot Project are committed to shedding light on the front groups whose participants operate out of the light of day.

However, the swiftboating of Americans for exercising his or her right to free speech is just as important. That's why the upcoming event to swiftboat Rep. John Murtha, which will be held on October 1, 2006, has drawn our attention. The participants are rumored to include the original swiftboating man himself, John O'Neill, though he's not been formally announced yet.

Vets for Truth is the front group sponsoring this little shindig, but not without some very powerful help.

Now it looks like XM radio hosts Quinn & Rose, Jim Quinn and Rose Somma Tennent, are joining in on the swiftboating fun, with the added plus of politicizing our national tragedy, 9/11, through the outreach of XM radio. I've got to ask why a decorated Vietnam veteran and senior member of Congress is being swiftboated just for speaking out and using his right of free speech? That XM radio is sponsoring such an event, through the publicized appearances of their hosts Quinn & Rose, is quite an endorsement. Vets for Truth really scored on this one.

You probably don't want to click on the link to give this lefty blog any more hits. Quinn read this on his show this morning. Elsewhere on the page, they announce their plans to counter-protest the BootMurtha rally.

***However, the swiftboating of Americans for exercising his or her right to free speech is just as important.**

The swiftboating of Americans for excercising their right to free speech is exactly what these people are doing.

Obviously they feel Murtha is the only one entitled to that right. they dont feel anyone against him has that right. Dosnt the opposition have a right to say what they think of Murtha??

This and Doprah are the reasons why I have decided to cancel my XM service. And I will let them know exactly why I am canceling.

Huh? Are you sure you understood the article correctly? Quinn & Rose are good guys (conservative talk show hosts who happen to be on XM--they're based on a terrestrial station in Pittsburgh). This lefty blog is complaining because they think XM is somehow participating in the BootMurtha rally because these show hosts are making a personal appearance there.

I was on my way to Pittsburgh on 9/11. When out running in the mornings, I found Quinn on the local station. I am soooo glad that XM picked him on for their talk channel (#165) (6-9 a.m Eastern).

I can only urge all you folks to tune them in...VERY on topic against the lefties and VERY humorous! I am in Indiana now and drive 45 minutes to and from my temporary work place. They make the time fly by! They are determined to boot Murtha out the door.

Doesn't the opposition have a right to say what they think of Murtha??

No. To a liberal "free speech" means the right to say anything liberal without any consequences, even if what Murtha has been saying is stupid and contrary to the views of his constituents.

Don't be so hasty on Doprah. No one said you had to listen to the channel... but she brings a BOATLOAD of advertising bucks to XM.

Satellite needs the revenue. So, my conservative friend, if you can't handle choice, there is always Sirius (and Howard Stern)
