I'm proud that George Allen is my senator. He's a good man and he would make a great President. The fact that the Rat smear machine is in high gear against him should tell you that the Rats are SCARED TO DEATH of him. He would be an outstanding nominee.

Absolutely agree with your opinion. The fact that the Dems with the WaPo and Channel 9 carrying their offal have been attacking him in the nastiest race baiting campaign this year. It is only seconded by the Jew baiting going on in Conn against Lieberman. I wonder when liberals will turn on their own? If they had any standards Sen Byrd would be retired. Since we are now evaluating allegations of Allen speech in college I am awaiting quotes regarding Webb to be made public. I am sure that the WaPo is investigating Webb to assure us he has never used the N word and has no Jewish blood in his background. The WaPo once again reveals its true self.

The rat smear machine is being driven by Hillary. Anybody who doesn't smell the Clinton stench in that Salon.com article doesn't know anything.

This is about more than the Senate seat from Virginia. Hillary knows she can beat McCain and Rudy, because both will alienate conservatives. She knows she can beat Condi because the Secretary, while a solid leader, is single without kids, never tested in an election, and would free up the wont-vote-for-a-woman block.

But Hillary Clinton cannot beat George Allen. That's why they are out in force trying to damage him this year. It is that simple.

It's not just the Rats. The Weekly Standard doesn't seem to like him as president either. Check the story on their web site.

Outstanding perhaps, I've he could just make his mind up! First, he was against extending federal hate crime laws to gays, then, after the election, he voted for them, then, after that, he changed his mind again!

I am uncommitted at this point on 2008, as I have several favorites.

However I have to say this:

I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A COMMITTED LIBERAL EFFORT TO DESTROY A CONSERVATIVE U.S. SENATOR (ALLEN) BUT WHAT IS MOST STOMACH TURNING IS THAT SOME CONSERVATIVES ARE ACTUALLY JOINING IN ON IT BY BASHING ALLEN OR BELIEVING THE SPIN BY THE LIBERAL MEDIA.

It is absolutely reprehensible that Conservatives and Republicans are not closing ranks 100% unequivocably behind Allen, even on FR. Even some of them are showing up on this thread here. Will more show up after my post here??

Sheesh, the liberals' work (lies, smears, mudslinging, race-baiting, character assassination) has been done; they must be chuckling as they see even 'conservatives', this late in the General election, take some kind of issue with Allen and in doing so, help in some small way to deliver this senate seat to Webb (D-Liberal).

My thoughts exactly, about the democrap smear machine. The dems were smearing George W. Bush before the public even knew he was running for Pres.
