Victim Disarmament Laws still doing what they are designed to do... create more victims.

DAMMIT PEOPLE!!! WAKE UP!!!!

Anyone who still thinks that creating free fire zones will stop criminal activity needs to go sit in the corner for a while.

Every man, woman, and responsible child has an unalienable individual, civil, Constitutional, and human right to obtain, own, and carry, openly or concealed, any weapon -- rifle, shotgun, handgun, machinegun, anything -- any time, any place, without asking anyone's permission. - L. Neil Smith

Learn it. Live it. It's the ONLY way this kind of crap is going to STOP.

It's such a shame. It always seems that the ones who suffer are good people...

You're right. I just spent yesterday evening writing at my blog about the gun-free school zones act and how it leaves our schools so vulnerable - the kids in schools are like sitting ducks and very attractive to criminals as such. At least with teachers and administrators having the option to be armed a criminal wouldn't be so sure it would be a cake walk...

I was never part of the "in" crowd in high school, and I remember that John always treated everyone - including me - as if they mattered. I sure hope he pulls through.

I have to run errands so I have to go offline for a while. If anyone hears more, please don't hesitate to post the information (with a link if you can)!

Praying for Mr. Klang...

It's logic! More armed LAW ABIDING citizens with arms= more hazzardous working environment for criminals. 90% of the US adult population will NEVER commit a crime above the level of a traffic violation. So why are we disarmed, restricted, prevented from protecting ourselves? This, despite "shall not be infringed" being the "Supreme law of the Land" the "laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding"...

We cannot let this go on. If our "law makers" won't unf*ck this situation, then it is time for "We the People" to start ignoring them. Massive civil disobedience by some 80 million gun owners oughta get their attention.

It isn't a Right, if you have to ask permission.

Prayers out to the family, I just heard that Mr Klang was critically injured, and that it was in fact a current student that is in custody, not a former student. He apparently had "multiple" weapons.

I have a niece and nephew that go to school in Reedsburg (a few miles away). So I have been following the story since if broke. News Conference this afternoon.

What's the school system have to do with a nutcase shooter?

Ideologues of whatever strioe rarely pass up the opportunity to kick their particular hobbyhorse.

More details.. Recently expelled student. Walks into school with multiple guns, including a shotgun. The janitor grabs the shotgun and the shooter pulls out a .22 handgun and shoots the principal multiple times, but the principal is able to tackle him. A teacher asks other students to help subdue the shooter so she can perform CPR on principal.

49 Year-old John Klang med-evacced to Madison hospital with three gunshot wounds, one to the head.

Just heard on the local news, shooters name is Eric Hanestock (sp), and at the same time this was playing out, another student from the high school was driving to school as saw the cops with lights going (apparently on the way to the shooting), the student thought he was being pursued, and decided to outrun the cop. The student hit a light pole and was killed. What a tragic day for that community.

The above info was from a interview with another student at the high school I just saw on TV.

Small rural school. These K-12s all under one roof still exist out in the midwest rural areas.

Hi Dead Corpse-

The best part is that even if one is not inclined to carry their own firearm, they can go along "for the free ride" because the filthy criminal element won't be able to tell who is whom. All it would take is a couple well-publicized stories of dirtbags getting blasted by grandmothers with .357 Magnum revolvers to consider the error of their ways.
