clinton gets away with boorish behavior because he is protected by Secret Service agents. Before he was president, he was protected by Arkansas state police officers. He has always been able to rely on his phalanx of guards to protect him from people who would otherwise tear the a$$hol3 a new one.

He viewed the Arkansas state police, at least those who went along, as his private henchmen, his own security. And countless others have fallen to his (apparent) Svengali like charms, lied for him, gone to prison for him, donated $$$$ to him. Which is why he melted down during the Chris Wallace interview. No one to run interference for him. Imagine how angry he must have been! He's manipulated hundreds of people into protecting him for decades, and then the interview...
