CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Former U.S. Rep. Helen Chenoweth-Hage died today in a car crash, her daughter said.

This is so sad, I do hope enough sanity can be reclaimed in the House of Representative to pay honor to her life. She was one special lady, I always loved to listen to her speak.
A true conservative. Salute.
One of my alltime favorites. RIP.
Prayers for the family and loved ones.

Helen and Wayne were both 'Points of Light' (Randy Travis song; "There is a time, when you cannot walk away, When you've got to stand up straight and tall and mean the words you say; There is a time you must do it 'cause it's right; That's when you become a Point of Light"). The entire world is blessed for them having been here, if only for a short few years. It was my blessing to have been counted among their friends. With reddened eyes and a huge lump in my throat, I want to believe it's not true, that somehow it's a mistake, that I could drive out to Pine Creek Ranch and find them still there. God, how You blessed us by sharing these two with us!
I remember her. She was part of that famous '94 class. Prayers for her family, and gratitude for her service.
Aw, I am so sorry for your personal loss, most of us could only admire from a distance. Prayers for comfort to those who lost a loved one.
She was also a great supporter in the Private Property rights fight. A great patriot! She will be sorely missed. I did not know her husband died this year too.
Rest in peace.
Yes she was, and I was disappointed today that her passing got little media notice. Oh well the media has an election to engineer.
Rest In Peace, Congresswoman.
She was a good one.
