Democrat congressional candidate Mike Arcuri, while serving as district attorney of Oneida County, N.Y., has billed taxpayers for several questionable expenses, including a call to a phone-sex hotline, according to records obtained by HumanEvents.com...A close examination of those expense reports reveals that Arcuri billed taxpayers in 2004 for a call to a phone-sex number. (Audio is available here. Some may be offended by its contents.) The phone number appears on Arcuri’s hotel bill. He was attending the New York State District Attorneys Association conference in New York City at the time.
(This afternoon, after this story was posted, I was informed that the number in question, 800-457-8462, was accidentally dialed instead of 518-457-8462. The latter number is for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. However, this new information raises questions about why Arcuri dialed his calling card, 800-255-2255, just one minute after hanging up on the phone sex hotline, as his hotel bill indicates. The campaign has still not returned my calls seeking an explanation.)

The similarity in number indicates to me that it probably WAS an honest mistake.
So are they all, all honorable men.
He is a democrat, so anything he does is an honest mistake.

I just received a nasty computer call from Families First demanding that I call my congressman and ask for a change in leadership in the House. She was hopping mad about Foley and that Republicans knew about it for 9 months. Yeah, right.
I looked them up online. Obviously, a liberal outfit out of Georgia but how in heck did they get my number. I'm nowhere near Georgia. Anyway, instead of calling my congressman, I'm making a donation to Diana Irey. So there, Families First, take that for a back lash!

The length of the call would be an indication as well. Unfortunately, the article doesn't indicate how long it lasted.
It's okay, he has a D after his name.

That indicates that having discovered his call was not a toll free number, he looked up the correct prefix and made the call using his calling card number.
I'm all for nailing Democrats, but this is lame.
