Anger in Holland over 'apartheid' Islamic hospital By (Filed: 05/10/2006)
Plans for a Muslim-only hospital in Holland have sparked a heated debate over its separate all-male and all-female wings, halal food and roster of duty imams.
A populist Right-wing party described the plan for the clinic in south Rotterdam as "a step backwards to the Middle Ages".
There will be segregation between the sexes, with male patients treated by an exclusively male nursing and medical staff and similar arrangements for females.
Holland's once proud multi-cultural model, which promoted tolerance of a rapidly growing immigrant population, has been sharply questioned in recent years, especially after the murder of the film-maker Theo van Gogh by an Islamic radical.
The latest row concerns plans for a private hospital aimed at members of Holland's one million Muslims.
It is the brainchild of a health industry entrepreneur, Paul Sturkenboom, who plans to employ 45 doctors and 275 nurses. Staff will not have to be Muslims.

I want to see the "moderate muslims" speak out against all discrimination as the world denounced South Africa in the 1980s.
They need to start establishing 'no go' zones to stock their weapon caches no doubt.
Holland is learning what you get when you push multi-culturism for the sake of multi-culturism.
Honestly, I don't think I really see to much of a problem with this. I, for instance, prefer a sponge bath from a buxom blonde candy striper (preferably over 6') than from a relatively hairy Eastern bloc male nurse named "Roc".
Y'know, if they want their own hospital, and it's privately-run, go for it. I don't see anything wrong with it, honestly. As long as (a) any patients know the rules going in, and (b) they operate under the same standards for care and safety as any other hospital.

This is similar to a private Catholic hospital that refuses to perform abortions. No FReeper should be against this.

BUt are Catholic hospitals built with taxpayer money? And do they refuse to treat non-Catholics?
"Multi-cultural" runs into a stone wall when it comes to dealing with Islam and shari'a law. The Netherlands have always prided themselves on being very liberal and accepting, and somehow they believed this attitude would invoke a similar response from any group that chose to settle in their country.
Muslims do not integrate into the countries to which they migrate. They form a hive, and devour all the honey stored up against future need, taking over and killing the native population.
