I can see why you feel that way, and I completely respect it.
I do think, however, in cases like this, that we shine as much light on the cockroaches as possible. When they are shown for who they really are, there are very few people that could actually support anything they do when faced with the reality of who they are and what they say.
Me, I joined Patriot Guard - haven't been to any missions, but I completely support them.

At one point in time I would have agreed with you (shining the light on them...). Unfortunately, I believe that nowadays there are too many freaks and freak wanna-be's around that would follow these nutballs. They have rights, you know!

Phelps makes some good points and you have to give her credit for being willing to stand up for what she believes in and speaking out against many problems in society and perversions, not sure why they pick certain events to protest but many of their messages are correct and need to be told.
Julie looked a bit unprofessional with some of the remarks that she made to Shirley, she should have remained more calm on the air. I watched Sean and Alan interviewing Shirley last night and they were a lot more composed with her.

Agree...imho, they should receive NO air time. They revel in the TV time given to them. Why do we need to hear their nonsense? It's wasted air time.
My husband & I belong to the PGR and the WBCult did not show up in NJ. I agree it is best then to ignore them...But I had police officers who were totally without a clue about them. I had to explain who & what they were and intended to do. People do need to be informed about cults like this. To be ignorant of them is not good. I agree they want media time and I really don't enjoy watching them. But Julie finally asked the one question I have wanted asked...why don't they leave the USA if we are doomed?

If I were to confront these people, I would not get angry at them the way Julia did, because I think they're a bunch of actors performing street theater. I'd approach them assuming they were actors and didn't for a minute believe the things they're saying. Look for the hidden agenda and frame the questions in such a way that the agenda could be exposed. They WANT this to stay in the emotional realm so people don't probe too deeply into their backgrounds.
