I don't know the area at all, but prayers for you and your brother.
You might try searching on the internet or if you can't get the info before you leave, usually in most airports they have info on shuttles, that could take you to Kirkland.
I found that Kirkland is about 20 min from Seattle.

You can take the Super Shuttle.....go to the transportation area up the escalator and there it will be. What hospital is in Kirkland?

http://transit.metrokc.gov/ has an online route planner. Or better may be to put their number in your cell phone and call them after you get your bags. You get a route in real time, and they are really great this way.

GeorgiaBushie: I'm in Seattle and know the medical community more than I'd like to. Also have CHF. Have some wonderful Doctors in Seattle - if needed. The ones in Redmond may be just fine.
I would be available to drive you anywhere - almost anytime. I'm retired. I have a 2nd car which may be available - depending on your needs.
Freepmail me - I will check tomorrow morning first thing.
Cheers and luck!!! Hardstarboard.

Many hospitals have discounts with area hotels and other long term housing. When you get to the hospital inquire about short and long term housing. The hotels(a variety of prices from Motel8 to Sheraton) usually have a shuttle which can run you back and forth to the hospital. The hospitals are used to this so you should not worry, just ask and explain your concerns.
I pray for your brother, you and your family that your brother has a speedy and complete recovery.

I lived 1 mile from Evergreen Hospital for 15 years. If you ever need a taxi in Redmond or Kirkland, try North End Taxi first. They got no towlheads; just white, male, over 21, speaky friggin' English, and they know where they are going. Their number (206) 363-3333. Good Luck to you.
