"It's scary how much power they do have," she says. "They can take down someone singlehandedly and I don't think Americans are aware of that. "It's the same group that went after (former US president) Bill Clinton and (gay actress) Ellen DeGeneres."

Boy, freedom of speech sure can be a bitch, can't it? Better to only allow liberals to have it when they rant from the stage.

Yeah, she thinks freedom of speech should only be for those who think like she does. She needs to get over it and take responsibility for what she said. It is her own fault.

The Dixie Twits are doing poorly 'cause they got crappy music and because they told about half of their fan base to bug off.

They're idiots.

Now their pan-handling for sympathy CD purchases from the wacko Cindy Sheehan set.

The price of living in the entertainment bubble. Once they departed from country musics, they were surrounded by people who felt nothing but hatred and disdain for the kind of people she grew up with.

Reminds me of the Katrina Gore (Al's daughter) story I posted some months back...

AL Gore bumped into Avenue magazine editorial director Pamela Gross the other day at the Regency, where she told him his daughter will be on the May cover. Karenna told Avenue that during the Florida recount in 2000, "the rancor was overwhelming at times . . . There was this horrible mob outside the vice president's house that was recruited by political operatives. They just kept yelling, 'Get out of [Dick] Cheney's house.' That was really painful and rude."

And then there's that pesky freedom of assembly thing. Interesting that it translates perfectly into the Internet age...but the libs still don't like it.

It's scary how much power they do have

Yes, those Americans on FR with their freedom of speech sure do have a lot of power, Chix. They have the power to disagree with you and pull the free meal ticket they've been providing you for many years. You work for THEM. So, shut up and sing. We won't be listening, but maybe someone will. I'll leave the radio on when I'm at work. Maybe my dog will listen.
