Hi,
Here's a letter-to-the-editor I wrote that was printed today in the San Jose Mercury News. It gives part of the other side of the Mark Foley. If you live outside the SF Bay Area, please feel free to make the letter your own...and send it in to a newspaper. THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS WE CAN DO DURING THE NEXT 28 DAYS ARE: 1) Get our message out; 2) Help conservative Republicans financially; 3) Go vote. All the best.
Dear Editor:
The nation's liberals would do well to re-evaluate their suggestion that the Democrats would show more integrity in dealing with morally bankrupt congress members or corruption. It's absolutely laughable.
The last time the Democrats held power, one of their own, Rep. Gerry Studds, didn't limit himself to wrongful messages; he had sex with a 17-year-old male page and even travelled with the page to a foreign nation. The Democrats gave him a wrist slap (censure), launched no criminal probe, let him remain in office for 13 more years and gave him three standing ovations.
Democrat Bill Clinton, who shared some trysts with a young White House intern, also pardoned another Democrat congressman (Mel Reynolds of Illinois) who had sex with a 16-year-old girl and was serving time in the Big House. Oh and by way, speaking of corruption, where did Democratic Rep. William Jefferson ever get that $90,000 in cold cash in his freezer?
Ok, I will say it. Congrats for being one of the few who actually do something and congrats on making the paper.
I saw the same basic letter published twice, from two different people in the CC Times. I then wrote a letter, which was published and ripped the left a new one for their staging of programmed letters.
I encourage all to write, but please use your own words, not those of others.
Good idea, will give it a whirl.
Good on you!
Good for you!
I'm glad you wrote a letter, but the suggestion to have people send it in as their own is not a good idea. Those are the types of tactics I loathe when liberals use them. Were are perfectly capable of writing our own letters. I'm currently working on my own in response to a Leonard Pitts column.
index for later
How come nobody mentions Barney Fag and his accomplice in sodomy, who was running a sodomite prostitution ring out of Fag's house?
There was never even any question that this was going on, but the demonrats gave him a pass.
(For those who might not remember, a Repub legislator got pilloried for referring to Barney Frank as "Barney Fag.")
