FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 12, 2006

CONTACT: Brendan Daly/Jennifer Crider 202-226-7616 Pelosi: Economists Agree, Democrats’ Policies Are Better for the Economy

Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today on a news report in The Wall Street Journalthat a survey of 50 economists by WSJ.com found that “most economists said the economy would perform best in the coming years if Democrats take control of at least one chamber of Congress.”

“Today’s report confirms that economists agree that Democrats’ policies of fiscal responsibility and increasing opportunity for all are better for the economy.

“Democrats will restore fiscal discipline with tough policies of pay-as-you-go budgeting, no new deficit spending. Democrats are fighting for middle-income tax cuts that spur economic growth and produce jobs. And Democrats will ensure that economic growth benefits all Americans, not just the privileged few.”

Not necessarily. Maybe a good number of these economists think that gridlock will brake spending.

I just sprayed water all over my screen from hysterical laughter.

Translation: higher taxes for everybody except dhimmocrat congressmen and terrorist, reduce military budgets to $0.00, and freebies for everybody here illegally.

Well, to accomplish all of those goals simultaneously, you're going to need one of these...

It really depends on whether you are talking to OUR "economists" or THEIR "economists." Nancy is a clueless, big dope. She says a lot of dumb things.

Unfortunately, if the Dems gain control of congress next month, the American people will have a chance to find out exactly what kind of impact their policies can have on the economy. It won't be pretty.

Once every couple of years the Rats are suddenly pro middle class and in favor of tax cuts and restrained spending and free cable TV for all(OK, I made that one up). The day after the election they place the mask onto the top shelf and revert back to their bloodsucking ways.

Well, they certainly want divided government and yes, that probably would help.

I'm also sure that 50 out of 50 would oppose complete Democrat control of the branches of government.

Of course, the really sad thing here is that the Republicans have spent years squandering their chances for reform. Where are the balanced budgets, for example?

Palosi is so wealthy that nothing can disturb her own personal economics. After studying those of great wealth who push socialism for many years I just cannot figure out their motives. Except one.

They want to redistribute everybody else's money, not their own. In the process a great deal of the money they are redistributing sticks to their own hands. At the same time they get great satisfaction from "giving" other people's money to their adoring voters who think it is the Palosis's who are giving the goodies.

Many studies do agree that great civilizations generally last about two hundred years. We are a little past that life expectancy. Each time great civilizations fall for exactly the identical reason. Think about it.
