I feel SO much safer now that Internet gambling sites are illegal.

Both the ban and the manner in which it was passed are disgusting. There's already one party for nanny-statists that want to control my money, we really don't need another one.

While the ban itself is stupid, you make a really good point in criticizing the manner in which it was passed. It seems to have been written into the port security bill at the last minute, with almost no discussion.

Is it too much to ask of our solons that they hold an occasional public hearing that features a serious discussion of a proposed bill? Some of us out here in the boondocks actually like to have an idea of what's going on in our government -- and why.
