No Cause For Celebration (FAIR'S Dan Stein Slams 300 Million Mark Alert)

"Overcrowded schools, congested highways, environmental stresses: We are a nation paving over its wildernesses while depending on our enemies for vital resources.

Why?

Because Americans have been blindsided by a government-mandated mass immigration program that's fueling this nation's runaway population growth. This growth was neither planned nor expected, but we feel the consequences every day.

The population of the USA will reach 300 million this week on a relentless march to half a billion before 2050. That's because about 80% of the current population growth in the USA is due to immigration policies — immigrants legally admitted, illegal immigrants, and births to immigrants after entering. Only a dramatic rollback in overall immigration can reverse these trends. The time to act is now

I thought this was a riddle! The farm land in most major population areas have been turned into homes. Is it not that way where you live? Is the land the same as 50 years ago? When I was a kid, we were in a development that was a dairy farm until the mid 50s. I am certain there was more crime in our little community than when the cows were there. The quality of life is much better than having no home to live in or living in a cow pasture. What is your point? Do you want life to be stuck in 1956?

We have the most opportunity, best jobs, highest standard of living (for a large country) and more freedom, although not as much as we once had.
"Why is that?"

Can you walk down to your local hardware store and easily buy a firearm to protect yourself or your family? It is also much easier today for local & state governments to seize one's property, whether under eminent domain or RICO. I'm sure others here can name rights we have lost since the 1960's...

ACtually, it does, to some degree. Immigrants tend to have more children than natives. Had we traded 40 million babies (and that's assuming that there is no deferment effect) for 40 million immigrants, our poulation would be 10-15 million less.

Actually, yes. I grew up in CO and it's being invaded by swarms of people leaving CA. It got so bad, we had to leave to find open spaces again. All of this due to population growth.

Here's my yard:

We like it this way.

That's why I prefer the 1950s lifestyle and freedoms over today.

The biggest factor in our population growth isn't immigration at all . . . it's the fact that we're living longer than ever before. The fastest-growing age cohorts in this country are actually the elderly and even the frail (90+ years old) elderly.

I don't guess I really understand your concept of courage. Most people who cross the border make it thru alive, and when they do they have a much better life than they left. Where's the courage in that? If that's what you call courage, you're pretty easy! ;)

Shame on you! You should want to live in a crowded urban area! (just joking, my plan is to eventually retire to a small community in the mountains of NM.)
BTW those photos are beautiful!

Susie, if you change your mind about NM, the Blue Ridge Mtns. here in Western, NC are sorta nice too. We can be from our Lake James home into these in about 45 minutes.

Wow, breathtaking! I've only been to NC once, that was to visit a friend in a place called Goldston. Not sure where it is, I wasn't driving! ;)

A nation that allows a million illegal immigrants to pour across the border every year while killing off a million of its own citizens doesn't need immigration reform -- it needs a complete psychiatric exam.

Outstanding point, AC.

Bumpity bump bump bump!

" As for the border fence? I doubt one square mile of it will ever built."

Correct. Not one foot will be built.

This morning's Fox & Friends made a big deal over the baby that was supposedly the 300th million, when that number was probably reached back in Jan. or Feb. by someone stuffed in an SUV with 20 other illegals near Eagle Pass, TX.
