TERRORISTS would not win if coalition forces withdrew from Iraq now, the country's oil minister said today.
But Dr Hussain al-Shahristani, who is visiting Australia, said while the Iraqi people were committed to winning the battle, they needed help.
"They do need time to build their own forces.
"More and more Iraqi people are joining the government forces now and expelling and fighting the terrorists from their regions.

Well, the Dems are trying to snatch defeat here from the jaws of victory because it suits them politically. The likes of John Murtha, Cindy Sheahan, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and others have kept this insurgency alive and given them hope with the contrived drumbeat of "we're losing this war" when this couldn't be farter from the truth. Can someone please tell me when this rises to the level of treason???
I think they passed that level some time back!
It IS treason. Aiding and abetting the enemy in a time of war is treason, no matter how they do it. Each and every one of them should be tried for treason.
Everybody has dreams. Usually people wake up when it is time to pull their socks on.
Harry Ried doesn't just fart on the truth..he's the whole gas bag. (Sorry couldn't resist)
You are correct. The idea all along was for our soldiers to leave Iraq as the Iraqi soldiers take over.
