Thanks to their support of the California Union for bad teachers and English as a second or third language, most of their potential subscribers can't read. So they need pictures and graphics:
"On Sunday, the paper revealed the new A section with skyboxes to spotlight stories inside, larger headlines, more photographs, and information graphics like sidebars, story boxes, maps and diagrams.
"A key goal of the new design is to highlight stories and information," said Joseph Hutchinson, Los Angeles Times creative director, in a statement."
The frenzy of the Dinosaur fishwrap execs is really funny to watch.
New "wide range of stories" include:
Republicans are evil.
Republicans are Nazis.
Republicans want to starve old people.
Republicans are hateful.
Republicans getting rich on the backs of the poor.
Republicans draining money from public education.
Republicans want to pollute the planet.
Republicans cause the world to hate America.
Republicans watch FOX News Channel.

Their problem is the content.
It's useless. All of this stuff is better, more balanced and more robust on the Web. Newspapers are obsolete.
