Wait just a minute here. I thought the "conventional wisdom" (there's an oxymoron) was that Pres. Bush was toxic - TOXIC! - to Republican candidates, and here he is, raising bazillions of dollars and posting for photos with them?? What the heck?
Yeah, I noticed that one, too. The Prez has had huge turnouts with pumped up, screaming audiences. The base is spoiling for a fight. I don't sense defeat in the air at all. The number of party volunteers is up. All kinds of money is being raised. I have heard reports that absentee ballots by Republicans are far outpacing the Dems. People don't get excited if they think they have no chance of winning. I don't believe these ridiculous polls and I certainly don't believe the chattering chumps or doomsaying Republican turncoats like that horse's arse Joe Scarred Burro.
