Not to belittle the efforts here, or his chances, but it probably does not hurt in the polls that he has the same name as a former Colts running back.
Now THAT is the way to earn some dough. Nice post, money is on the way.
My Blog where I post news and info about the campaign
We are in the midst of a radio campaign now, and are considering a last minute TV campaign blitz, becasue we know Julia Carson's camp can come back with spots of their own with their $300K warchest.
November 7th will be our finest hour! With your support we will take the 7th District and have some true representation in Washington DC.
Eric Dickerson is different. Eric is a businessman and an engineer. When he sees a project, he figures out exactly what it will require to get done, then he goes and does it and doesn't blow a bunch of unneeded money getting the job done!
The project will be done when Eric and his band of loyal volunteers arrive in Washington, DC to see their hero sworn in as the next Congressman of the 7th District of Indiana. The volunteers are loyal and aren't your typical volunteers. One even has Eric Dickerson signs mounted to billboards attached to his personal vehicle!! They are absolutely dedicated to the project and all will be grateful for everyones support and if you live in the 7th - your vote - for Eric Dickerson.
One ad I would make is that Julia Carson is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America's Congressional Caucus.
Two years ago their website had a page just listing who the Rats in this seditious caucus were. They have since buried the list.
I think now they call themselves the Progressive or Democratic Progressive Caucus to be more stealthy. Nevertheless Carson is a bona fide Socialist and proud of it.
Would make a nice sweet short radio spot.
A bit dull but, hey, she doesn't write perverted novels like the dude in Virginia.

I thought this was a football thread..........
If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

I "went" to Western Michigan University too.....via on-line/snail mail...many years ago.
Just made my second contribution to his campaign. Hopefully, Hostettler & Sodrel can keep their seats and we
gain a seat in the House!

I had a busy night - we were on Fox 59 News in Indy at 10 PM. It was such a charged up day I went home and fell asleep in the la-z-boy! Fox 59 did a 2 minute piece on the campaign and how Eric is "full of vitality" and Julia showed she is full of something else...
Eric Dickerson spoke at the Eastern Star church and turns lots of heads - and opinions - and votes! this is nominally a 95%+ Democratic area and they were VERY receptive to Eric Dickerson and his message. Julia Carson had spoken before Eric arrived.
The black periodical, The Indianapolis Recorder, did an article about the race which we expected to be extremely slanted toward Julia Carson. As it is, it turns out its a neutral article.
After Eastern Star, the campaign went to a local community outreach center known as Christamore House. They were hosting a community dinner and Eric was their keynote speaker. He lit up the assembled crowd of mostly seniors, and the staffers came up to him and said they are united as Eric Dickerson supporters.
6 days to a new day for Indianapolis!
But Larry Sabato does not mention it. RCP does not mention it. Dunno about Charlie Cook and Stu Rothenberg. Haven't checked them.
Is there something I'm not aware of, that makes this race less of a tossup than it appears to me? Or is it just that a Republican pickup doesn't fit in well with the preferred narrative of a Democratic "wave" (or "tsunami") in 2006, so it must be ignored?
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thought you were talking about the running back... also a good man.

Picking off a few Dem seats on Tuesday may well mean the difference between Speaker Hastert or Speaker Pelosi. [gag!]
I haven't heard, but has Julia claimed racism this time?
Might I suggest one thing, from a marketing standpoint? Having attracted me to go to the website, it's important that you then make it as easy as possible for me to complete the transaction. I.e., don't make me have to figure out how to do it.
As it is, a potential donor has to search the webpage to find "Support the campaign" -- then click that button to go to a Paypal page.
Paypal is definitely the thing to use -- it's easy and quick. But I'd suggest something a little more direct than "Support the campaign". How about a big red button -- "Donate" or "Contribute" -- prominently positioned.
Not complaining, just trying to help.
