I work at financial services business and we have CNBC on as background noise.

I have noticed that too whenever I walk by.

What gives?

Usually CNBC is known for its impartial handling of business news.

the can't control themselves.... oil prices down big again today... Another Karl Rove tactic according to CNBC reporters

I believe 'what gives' is that this is a sign of desperation, and one side pulling out all the stops.
