I wouldn't be surprised if in the next couple of days he does apologize. Of course it will be the Non-Apology Apology that politicians are so famous for.

Of course it will be the Non-Apology Apology that politicians are so famous for..... he'll not really do that, but, find some reason ( other than look within himself for the blame ) to blame it on ( The Republicans made me do it ).
No, he'll apologize that the public was not educated enough to get his joke, because the only ones to understand him were the elite.
