West Palm Beach, Fla. -- Former Rep. Mark Foley, who resigned over sexually explicit messages sent to male congressional pages, is remaining in treatment for alcoholism beyond his initial 30-day stay, his attorney said Wednesday.

Foley checked into a 30-day treatment program at the Sierra Tucson center in Catalina, Ariz., near Tucson, on Oct. 1. There was no immediate indication how much longer Foley would remain there.

"I can't say any information other than he's still there," attorney Gerald Richman told The Associated Press.

The Florida Republican resigned from Congress in September after he was confronted with the explicit computer messages he had sent to male teenage congressional pages.

His attorneys have since said that Foley is gay, suffers from alcohol addiction and was molested by a Catholic priest when he was a teenage altar boy.

MSM, you can try and change the subject but nobody cares about Foley. Everyone is focused on Ketchup Boy and the DIMS hate for our Men and Women in our Armed Forces!

The Dems were hoping he'd leave on time.

That would put him back in the spotlight before the election.

But more importantly, they wanted his bed for Kerry.

What the MSM does not realize is that it speaking some ugly truths:

- Many people who become Homosexual (they are not "born that way") were molested by other Homosexuals

- Homosexuals cannot be trusted among children (see Gay Boy Scout Leader stories)

- Homosexuals suffer drug and alcohol and suicide dependence much more than the population at large (wait! I thought they were all so happy?)

- Homosexuals in the priesthood should be defrocked and absolutely purged from the ranks

- The bible is correct about condemning Homosexuality

I'm not saying that there's anything to this. I'm only mentioning it for information's sake.

Foley attorney, Gerald Richman, is a well-known Democrat in southeastern Florida.

In 1989, he ran for Congress in the special election to fill the remainder of Claude Pepper's term. He was defeated by Ileana Ros-Lehtinen who still holds the seat.

TIME mag is still beating the Foley horse right up to the election. They are still claiming that the "Foley scandal" has utterly wrecked all hopes for the GOP.

But they also cover how unreliable e-voting is, just in case. Now their spin is that this entire midterm election is completely a referendum about Bush.

But the effect has lost its teeth, as Foley resigned in disgrace, with the censure of Republicans. Dems can't understand this, since their own would have remained in office and would have been celebrated as "courageous."

The Foley effect has lost its effect to all reasonable people but not to the Dems. Foley was just a pawn; their aim is to launch independent prosecutors and try to take down Hastert and anyone else they can. They won't get very far, which will enrage the moonbats even more.

They live in a Democrazy.
