Charlie Rangel called our military poor and full of minorities.

I need some help, I want to find some comments that Charlie Rangel made right before the 2004 election. He was out there saying that we had to reinstate the draft because the military was nothing but poor minorities. This would be a very timly reminder of the true feelings that the lefties have for the military. Thanks!

My point exactly. He was suggesting that the military is full of "poor people" and "disadvantaged miniorites" because they had no other options. Kind of like the "get a good education or else" comment of Kerry. He wanted the "rich" kids to sacrifice as much as the "poor" kids.

It is interesting how he is treated with kidd gloves. Most of
what I found on him were various bill to reinstate the Draft.

I remember an interview he was giving to Hannity where he said the only reason we were making the reenlistment goals was because of the bonus money. He implied that soldiers should reenlist for the good of the country and not be motivated by money. What an assclown

Charlie has always been handled with kidd gloves, He is a powerful enemy. I believe he is the real power behind the CBc. He isnt a stupid man --just a racist one.

We will never know how tough he is. He stays in his Harlem patch and has not had any competition since Adam Clayton Powell.

Rangel was in the military and is a lawyer. Did he do that on the GI Bill?
