This is a bad sign...Boyda has had tons of tv advertising and Ryun has had nothing. I received a recorded phone message from him yesterday. Not impressive. As well, I saw his wife, Ann, and a few gal pals holding Ryun signs at an intersection.
It appears that Ryun did not take this challenge seriously, but should have. Part of his district covers Lawrence, the one of two blue counties in Kansas.
I'm just saying...NOT GOOD. Boyda signs everywhere!!

Ryun beat Boyda by something like 15 points last time...

As of 10/31 he had twice the money on hand that she did. Plus Dubya coming into town. I like his chances.

Interesting details from yesterday
here. The DCCC has made a small ad buy here, but still not listing it as a targeted race. Yet Dubya is coming to town.

Ryun will win. But then again he is in the most liberal part of the state, for what thats worth.

I've been out of town on business and got back to town Tuesday...but have been to his website to look for a place to sign-up. Sent an e-mail he probably won't get until the election is over.
His campaign has been disputing her polls, saying they were wrong. But, I have had doubts. Apparently, her numbers were more accurate than he wanted us to think.
I'll stay on it..I did honk my horn at Ann yesterday!! :0)
To: aft_lizard
I think that Wyandotte is in the 3rd district.
To: KsSunflower
Forget the E-mail. Call them on the phone, and tell them you'd like to volunteer your time. Then, no matter what happens next Tuesday, you'll feel better about yourself.

None of the polls seem right to me. I don't believe Sebellius will win by 19% either.

According to his polls, he was up 15 or so....the Dems said he was down by 2 in their poll....the Topeka paper said probably it was in the middle.
I highly doubt the GOP poll showed the same thing as the
Dem poll.

Thing is...Boyda has been all over the place. She has a ton of commercials...pretty good ones...Ryun has been invisible.
I hope he hasn't waited too long to make his move. The fact that, he had been disputing her poll numbers and now is bringing in the big gun, isn't lost of folks here.
