Just because we are too stupid to understand their sophisticated and well-nuanced jokes (when they don't botch them) is no reason to to resort to denigration.

No. No you can't. You might "offend" someone's "sensitivities" and hurt their "feelin's" and "self-esteem".
You might also watch your pronunciation of "Niger", "Nigeria", etc.
Isn't there a person, writer or elected official with the first name of "Niger" ("Nee jhair") something or other?
