Read and weep Julian Sanchez's "Your Tears Are So Yummy and Sweet" in which the writer says he finds joy in the tears of Rick Santorum's eight-year-old daughter, who is pictured crying next to her father as he gives his concession speech on Tuesday night, November 7. Most of the comments that follow celebrate and contribute to Mr. Sanchez's meanness. Some of the folks have brought out how some of us made fun of Chelsea Clinton when she was not much older than Sarah Santorum. Fair enough. I'll plead guilty. But nothing I said about her then is anywhere near as mean as what I say about her now that she's a full-grown woman:

Please name an example of when Freepers have made fun of someone for losing a child or making fun of a kid who is crying? I can't say it is never happened - there are thousands upon thousands of people who stroll through here - but I'm sure you must have a number of examples since you keep trotting it out. Let's hear it.

Oh please, I never said that making fun of children floated my boat or anyone elses boat. To be clear, I've seen grass roots people from both sides of the political aisle say snide things about the children of politicians. I condemn that completely. I was trying to introduce the pot to the kettle, so to speak. So spare me the righteous indignation.

Thanks for the info and the links. I'm not a bit surprised. They aren't able to hide their hatred of anyone or anything decent. As it becomes more and more evident that their lawless agenda isn't going to succeed, they will only become more hysterical and militant as time goes on. They'll overstep themselves and that will be their own undoing. bttt
Well, one Niccolo Machiavelli used to consider social ambition/will to power/ as evil. Thus, by extension, frustrating a social ambition is good. That being so, the depicted child has received a moral lesson, and the question is - did it sink or has the prior upbringing been so pernicious that the lesson would bounce off?
Speak for yourself, please. I've never been ugly toward Chelsea Clinton. There are many conservatives who have risen above such nonsense.
