Reason Magazine Blogger Finds Pleasure in Tears of Rick Santorum's 8-year-old Daughter

Because the libertarian universe has no place for the vulnerable, weak, or the dependent--since none are autonomous adult-choosers in search of virtual kiddie porn--it has no qualms in providing a forum in which children and their families can be verbally abused and have profanities hurled at them. Read and weep Julian Sanchez's "Your Tears Are So Yummy and Sweet" in which the writer says he finds joy in the tears of Rick Santorum's eight-year-old daughter, who is pictured crying next to her father as he gives his concession speech on Tuesday night, November 7. Most of the comments that follow celebrate and contribute to Mr. Sanchez's meanness. In fact, one commentator, named Jon H., makes sarcastic reference to the Santorums' newborn child who died in 1996. ~ Posted by Francis J. Beckwith at 11:25 PM

Your Tears Are So Yummy and Sweet

Man, I haven't taken this much pleasure in the suffering of a small child in days.

She (his daughter) even has an "American Girl" doll and dress.

I noticed that. My first take was that they'd dressed her almost too stereotypically conservative. My second take noticed the doll, and I remembered back to my daughter's Kirsten doll. She never cared for the dress-alike bit but we did have all the catalogues and I remember those being available.

Read the comments on that site. Their hatred of Santorum, his wife and his children, both living and dead, is at a Satanic level. They hate him because he is good, he defends what is good, and he protects his children.

Rick Santorum is a man, thiw clown is a wimpy little boy. And he hates Santorum because he can never be what Rick is.

"That picture is pretty funny."

Out of context of the remarks of the low-life's at the linked blog, maybe. Now, how do you "feel" about the comments? That is the subject of this thread.

This group that I displayed is linked to someone who works for Lewrockwell.com as a columnist. He has regularly made anti-drug war comments in attempt to bash America as the "Great Satan" along with attacking America's position on drugs. Many of these "alternative" groups are also linked to the ACLU another Soros' funded outlet which is tied to MoveOn.org. There is a clear case that Soros is attempting to influence Libertarian groups into going against the drug war America is waging.

Soros doesn't have to do anything to influence libertarian groups to oppose the drug war. That's one of their biggest issues and always has been. Taking money from Soros to oppose the drug war, if that's what they're doing, is consistent with their beliefs provided Soros doesn't require them to endorse his whole socialist program.

Whenever we see a hate filled article/oped like this against people like Rick and his daughter, or an vile and vicious hate oped of GW.

We can do a very interesting exercise.

Go to Yahoo search and enter the writer's name + gay or homnosexual and hit enter.

Over 90 % of the time we will see at about a decade of articles by the writer pushing the homosexual agenda at the expense of Christians and Republicans.

One does tend to wonder about a grown adult complaining that a religious or political figure in another state is preventing him from engaging in sexual misbehavior.

Maybe Mr. Sanchez and Bill Maher could get together and swap porn URLs.

"Any person who gets pleasure from a child's tears isn't worth the breath they take."

I simply do not understand this level of evil!! I can remember remarks about Chelsea Clinton, too, sadly. Those people and those remarks were wrong and this "man's" (I use the term loosely) remarks are wrong; even sadistic!!

I'm about beside myself with this one!

You nailed this vile pos, Sanchez with these remarks:

"Read the comments on that site. Their hatred of Santorum, his wife and his children, both living and dead, is at a Satanic level. They hate him because he is good, he defends what is good, and he protects his children.

Rick Santorum is a man, thiw clown is a wimpy little boy. And he hates Santorum because he can never be what Rick is."

That is why this vile POS has attacked Rick before and now shows his true nature in this gleeful attack on Rick's daughter.

Couldn't agree with your comments more, mockingbyrd. God, Himself, takes note ...

"Too funny, I guess all the snide comments I've seen about Chelsea Clinton on this site over the years was done out of love."

Unless you can post the links to the dates quoting the authors of the comments, you're still blowing smoke.

And even if you could do that, it proves nothing since all sorts of base mentalities / trolls come and go on Free Republic. As I said - mainstream conservatives of honor and integrity won't speak of children the way people like Sanchez and his friends do.

I used to subscribe to Reason, but I dropped it a few years ago when it slid into the confines of "leftist rag". The really took a bad turn when Bush was elected, and not just on economic issues (which are fair game IMHO). It was as if Howard Dean had a hand in writing articles for the magazine.

Below is a tribute to: To Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Transgendered Individuals from the Libertarians.

http://chelm.freeyellow.com/gay_index.html

The libertarian movement has promoted equal rights for the GLBT community since its inception. What's taking everyone else so long? The Libertarian Party was the first major party to endorse rights for the GLBT community, including the right to marry individuals of choice regardless of gender. Libertarians maintain that every non-violent individual has the absolute right to the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Basic human rights don't only extend to those who are in relationships with people of the opposite gender.

Libertarians believe that every human being is entitled to equality before the law and fair treatment as an individual responsible for his or her own actions. They oppose racism, sexism, and sexual-preference bigotry, whether perpetrated by private individuals or by governments. In accordance with libertarian principles, the Libertarian PArty maintains a staunch pro-privacy and pro-individual rights stance without excuse or exception. In fact, the LP has called for the repeal of laws against voluntary homosexual and heterosexual behavior since its very first platform in 1974. The current platform states, "We believe that adults have the right to private choice in consensual sexual activity. We oppose any government attempt to dictate, prohibit, control, or encourage any private lifestyle, living arrangement or contractual relationship. We support repeal of existing laws and policies which are intended to condemn, affirm, encourage, or deny sexual lifestyles or any set of attitudes about such lifestyles." Libertarians also condemn restraints on adult sexual entertainment, including broadcasting and the Internet.

Libertarians were at the forefront of the movement to repeal the sodomy laws that were present in sixteen states until 2003. Such laws were discriminatory and often left GLBT community members more likely to avoid HIV testing. Additionally, libertarians believe that privatizing marriage would solve the "benefits" question that still persists in the debate over gay marriage. Libertarians also believe that GLBT community members should be given the opportunity to serve their country in the military.

That being said, the key phrase with regards to libertarians and the GLBT community is equal rights. We recognize that there will always be bigotry and hatred in the world, just as there will always be fear and stupidity, but one cannot use laws to force understanding any more than one can use laws to force courage or intelligence. The only fair laws are those that never mention the words "black" or "white", "man" or "woman" or "gay" or "straight." When people use bigotry as an excuse to commit force or fraud, it's the act itself which is the crime and deserves punishment, not the motive behind the act.

If you are a GLBT community member who recognizes that the rights you deserve are equal to those outside of the GLBT community, you are an excellent candidate to join the libertarian movement.

BTW, another freeper emailed me about an incident on Rush's tv show during the 90's, where he put up a picture of a dog on screen with Chelsea Clinton's name under it. He took big time heat for that one, said it was an accident.

He blamed it on one of his video editors. I saw it when it was broadcast and I've never believed Rush's excuse. Rush has a mean streak.
