The little girl reminds me of my own daughter. She (his daughter) even has an "American Girl" doll and dress.
I noticed that. My first take was that they'd dressed her almost too stereotypically conservative. My second take noticed the doll, and I remembered back to my daughter's Kirsten doll. She never cared for the dress-alike bit but we did have all the catalogues and I remember those being available.
