""Closer analysis will find that his positions on those three particular issues are not hands-down odious to the Republican rank and file," "

Some conservatives can give Giuliani a pass on his pro-abortion stance. Some can pass on pro gun control stance. Some can pass on pro homosexual anti morality stance .

None will give him a pass on all three.

That would make for an interesting GOP Convention.

"We support gun control!"

"We support abortion rights!"

"We support Gay Marriage!"

"We are Republicans!"

"Vote for Rudy!!!"

Romney sounds a heck of a lot better to me than Giuliani, and he's got the charisma, as well.

Rudy probably comes across as striking and appealing as anyone, but I find his stances just a little hard to swallow.

Many fiscal conservatives could give him a pass on all three (their numbers alone would probably leave him short, though), but in my opinion, it remains to be seem whether he is even a solid fiscal conservative.
