In my opinion, the "not conservative enough" crowd is what brought us our current debacle, complete with loons like Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rangel. You are quite right. 2008 is not a mere election--it could be a turning point (downward for our country if Hillary is elected).
Then, I propose that the check-pants Republicans stop promoting Giuliani. If they continue to do this, a Democrat will be elected in '08.
