Ooooooooooo. AP Iraqi source may not actually exist.

Hmmmmm. This "guy" was used for at least 1/2 a dozen war stories, too. AP says they still "believe" he's real (like the Bush military records were "real")

The group was part of an Islamic militant terror cell that had adopted extremist ideas and were living in Egypt under the guise of studying Arabic and Islamic studies

They're probably just mad because Egypt won't give them a separate room to pray in at the airport. :-)

Egypt holds French, U.S. suspects in secret group

04/12/2006
CAIRO, (Reuters) - Egyptian police have arrested nine French people, an American and two Belgians on suspicion of forming a secret Islamist organisation linked to "terrorist" groups abroad, the government said on Monday.

A number of Tunisians and Syrians were also arrested, the Interior Ministry said. "These people had links with certain terrorist organisations abroad. Investigations showed that they were trying to recruit others and indoctrinate them in their destructive beliefs and incite them to jihad and to travel to Iraq to carry out operations," a ministry statement said.

"The members of the secret organisation have adopted takfiri and jihadi ideas ... It includes Arabs and foreigners resident in the country under cover of studying the Arabic language and Islamic religious learning," it added.

Takfiri groups believe that Muslims who do not share their views are infidels. Jihad is usually translated as holy war.

That means the Americans were American Muslims. There are thousands of these Muslims still living in the U.S. That's a scary thought, isn't it?

No shiite concerned about politics!

And we now have a Muslim congressman who'll only take his oath on a Koran.
This is how Hammas came to be in power. Muslims moved into the land and reproduced in great numbers. They handed out lots of freebies to any group that asked. They were elected to political power. Now, they're demanding all other forms of government leave the country. All must bow to Allah, and a war wasn't even necessary.

If he/she is an American Jihadist do not extradite them back here, let the Egyptians handle them in their own special way and not our damn courts that will just try to release them.

I have to disagree. If he is linked to planning Iraqs on US interests in Iraq, extradite him to the US, try him, and HANG HIM if the facts confirm his involvement in trying to kill US troops. A Johnny Jihad do over, and let's get this one right.

While I believe that many of the civilian attacks are staged or exaggerated, I don't see how the relatively large number of US combat fatalities in October were the media's fault.

FOX just said much of the violence reported in Iraq may not be real. It may be "fabricated."

Here's the moxt important Murdoch quote IMO from the article:

"I think that one forgets that American foreign policy for the whole of the (20th) century saved the world from terrible things three times," he said, "for which they certainly got no thanks and for which they never had imperial ambitions at all."

Both the Congressman and many of the terrorists arrested in America have been home grown Black Muslims of the Louis Farakan type. There is not an imam in the world who is more inciteful than that man. He spoke at the black U in Mo where I taught. All of a sudden we had all this antisemitism being expressed by kids who had never even seen a Jew in their lives.

Geez, that was an excellent story. However:

SBC' Firewall went crazy blocking all of the pop ups/ads and attempts to attach a lot of junk to my computer hard disk.
