As a Congressman all that is important is who is paying the bribes.
Sounds like the same stunt the newsmedia played on candidate Bush in the 2000 election.

There is a monstrous difference between the amount of issues on which the POTUS is supposed to be knowledgeable during a campaign, as opposed to the Chairman of a specific Congressional Committee dedicated to protecting the national security against an enemy that has killed thousands of Americans while dominating world headlines for 5 years.

Your analogy is correct. Reyes is utterly ignorant... and he's allegedly one of the sharper crayons.
I dare say that 85% of Americans in and out of government could not have answered the question. Reyes, however, should have been in the 15% who could.
Israel just fought a war with Hezbollah this past summer. All over the news. And Reyes does`nt know who/what Hezbollah is? Heaven help this country.
This is rich. Let's just hope he can read the questions his aides write for him. These staffers certainly have inflated credentials and agenda driven support networks.

I'd DEMAND he step down...but then again, this guy is probably a gift to us in the spirit of Howard Dean. Quiz him some more!
