At this rate, maybe Pelosi will suggest William Jefferson to run the House Ethics Panel.

Like Hollywood, there are a lot of idiots in public office. All you have to do is look and sound good.

This article actually gives me hope because Reyes sounds like a garden variety nimrod rather than a committed fifth columnist. Someone like Jane Harmon might actually educate him and pull his strings.

I would guess that most Freepers know more about the history and current events in Iraq than Reyes does. I guess I can be thankful they didn't put Hastings in that chair, but it still makes me groan.

He also notes that the previous Republican in that position were asked the same questions and also failed miserably.

All you need to know about Congressional oversight for the next 2 years.True. Unfortunately, the republicans on the very same "intelligence" committee were equally ignorant.

If the stupid son of a bitch had even bothered to read one or two good articles on the Middle East over the last 10 years, he'd know this. And Pelosi's going to put him right in to head the Intelligence Committee, without batting one of her bimbo's eyes. Dammit, it's embarrassing! Democrats have turned America into a joke.

Maybe if the Quiz was in Spanish, he would have done better. It's a shame Jane Harman, someone who knows the intelligence ropes is not the chair, but dems never cared about the most qualified, only about outcomes.

So, here's this guy who'se been on the Intelligence Committee, and he is totally clueless about the muslim situation?
And, Republicans are in the same dimwitted boat?
What in hell does this Committee do, sit around and have a circle jerk??
Truly scary!

I suppose that, in order to avoid leadership by a crook (Alcee Hastings), we had to settle for leadership by a dunce. Well, that's politics.

It doesn't sound like Nancy Pelosi will have such a Sunni disposition when she reads about her appointment, Rep. Reyes, stepping into some serious Shiite over the intelligence test.
I know of high-school kids that can answer those questions without hesitation. This is disgusting at best.

This is like when I was asked a question about valence electrons in Chemistry class that I didn't know the answer to so I desperately replied, "Oliver Cromwell," on the very off chance that I actually might be correct.
