Not my point. If there was/is an file, they missed the opportunity to get any information out of it. My hunch is that the guy's probably pretty clean since he hasn't been a politician long enough to get totally corrupted. Time will tell.

Hillary wants the media to prepare him for her VP slot!

Frankly I don't know why that isn't obvious. After her two terms he'll get two too. What a deal for him.

Good point. He's the perfect Dem candidate. He doesn't seem to have a skeleton in his closet and he sounds almost reasonable. The problem is that he has zero experience. And, of course, he's a democrat. Oh, and he's black too.

How in the world does a constitutional scholar become a democrat, though? That one has me scratching my head.

The disclosure of Ryan's divorce papers doesn't rise to the "scandal" of Mark Foley, a US congressman.

It took a California judge to decide to release Ryan's divorce decree.

It took Raum Emmanuel to take out a national figure with documents that were known to many.

Yes, you may be right, but he has already said that he won't settle for VP. For what that's worth.

Not much. It is a good way to get exposure and cover his lousy political resume.

He looks great in carefully scripted settings"

Damit, I agree with everything that we are saying about this clown.

But this rhetoric really, really scares me. The reason is that this is what the Ford/Bush people (not to mention the Ds) said about Reagan.

Obama is a bit like Reagan in that he speaks well in positive generalities. The reason I(we) love Reagan so much is that he was one of us, he communicated clearly and he was a conservative. Obama comes across like one of us and doesn't have the scowl and pucker of most libs. (Just as Reagan didn't have the scowl and pucker of some awesome conservatives...starting with Goldwater).

I don't think Obama has the substance of Reagan. No way in hell.

But to say that he can't do it just b/c he is good in scripted appearances (as if that is something to laugh at), then that is scary for me. It should scare all of us.

I'm starting to think that we should be hoping for Hillary and not this guy.

Liberals can only be LIVING constitutional scholars.

The word for this guy is Tabula Rasa. The libs are projecting onto him their hopes for a liberal renaissance despite the fact that modern day liberalism is a grotesque tumor. They figure his pretty boy mask will conceal the real Dorian Gray face underneath.

Don't make the mistake of thinking there is no substance to this guy or that he is an emty suit. The substance is that of the Fabian Socialist, and the suit is sewn from Marxist cloth.

This guy knows how to package cultural Marxism in an appealing package: watch all his speeches that decry an over reliance on govt, "BUT OTOH we can't allow people to fall thru the cracks," and other jive platitudes delivered in a mellifluous tone. He has the veneer to beguile a whole lot of voting dummies who don't pay attention.

That kid has an ego as big as Texas. Besides, who would vote for a guy whose middle name is Hussein and his last name rhymes with "Osama"?

"I'm starting to think that we should be hoping for Hillary and not this guy."

Patience, Grasshoppah.

The spotlight has just been turned on - he has about 15 months to either justify all the hooplah.

This isn't 1896; he doesn't get to campaign on the front porch like William McKinley with Mark Hanna pulling the strings.
