Man Steals Salvation Army Kettle: Suspect Gets Away With Unknown Amount Of Money

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. -- An unidentified man stole a Salvation Army kettle Tuesday in Fruitland Park, getting away with an undetermined amount of money, according to police.

It happened at the Wal-Mart on N. Citrus Boulevard around 2:30 p.m., police said.

Police said they were searching for a white man, but had no other details about the suspect's appearance.

He's probably steeling to buy booze or drugs. I'm sure he thought he needed the money really bad, but he's just hurting the people who need the money more.

stealing happy meals from three year olds is probably easier than this -- the salvation army guys could hit you with the bell for example.

Drugs?????

May very well be the case. Most people with real phy. needs will seek help from Salvation Army or Red Cross and, in many cases church orgs.

I have seen the power that drugs have over people and, I am sure many of you have witnessed the same.

I use to criticize those with drug problems, and look down on them until I learned that it is a disease, just like cancer.
I would not condone these acts but, it doesn't change the fact that these people need help when avaible.
