Journalists are low scorers once again in the annual Gallup survey on how the U.S. public ranks various professions in terms of honesty and ethics.
For the eighth straight year nurses top the list with 84 percent of those surveyed giving the nursing profession "very high" or "high" marks for ethics, Editor and Publisher reports.
Journalists received "high" or "very high" marks from just 26 percent of respondents putting them ahead of business executives, lawyers, stockbrokers, car salesmen, congressmen and senators.
Dividing respondents by political party, Democrats rated the honesty of journalists higher than Republicans, 36 percent to 17 percent.
Shocking.
Correct headline should be:
"Some say Journalists rank low in ethics survey"
After college I was turned down for a job with the N.Y. Times. Talk about a blessing in disguise!

They don't rank very high in intelligence, either.
Still crappy, regardless. Sounds like nobody trusts the media.
That is because more jounalists are Democrats.
Makes sense. Most Democrats are, as a rule, stupid. Those Demcorats who are not stupid are naive.
It's a sign of the times.
Journalists are now "entertainers", instead of being news reporters.
I prefer to think of them as used opinions salesmen.
Now I'm totally confused!
I didn't think I could loathe anyone more than my Communist Manifesto-Spouting Used Car Salesman Brother-in-Law, LOL!
I don't know about the business executives, but the rest of that list is lower than whale $#!+ in my books.
Sorry, only Ivy Leaguers and minorities need apply.

What? The media lies to us and has a rabid anti-President Bush agenda? I'm not quite believing that- time for my meds http://sacredscoop.com
Ok, Americans think the media are lacking in honesty and ethics, but they still believe what they are told on the news each night and vote for the candidates the media pitch. I don't get it.
The only other alternative is to research the media claims which takes the time that most don't have. The information shapers count on our fast paced lives as part of their deception strategy. They know they have us where they want us.
Internet news sources are making it a bit easier to get the truth but you still have to take the time to visit multiple sites from around the globe to get the full picture.
