After a botched execution that took 34 minutes to end a convicted murderers life, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has suspended all death sentences until a commission can review lethal-injection procedures to ensure they dont inflict cruel and unusual punishment on their helpless victims.
In a gesture of goodwill, Floridas leading association of murderers also announced a temporary hold on premeditated and/or serial killings as well as brutal rapes, according to a spokesman, until we can determine if some of our victims experience discomfort or pain.
The Sunshine State Coalition of Capital Criminals released the statement through its ACLU attorney, pledging a full-out investigation of our procedures to determine their constitutionality.
Concerns about the comfort of the states execution method revived this week when Angel Nieves Diaz, who spent more than two and a half decades on death row for a 1979 murder, seemed to clench his jaw and grimace during the normally-painless death penalty procedure.
The eighth amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits cruel and unusual punishments, however experts note that 27 years on death row is not unusual.

A few cents worth of lead will solve the problem.

Did the guy die? If so, I'd say it wasn't botched. It was just prolonged (which isn't always a bad thing for some of these scumbags).
After a botched execution...it took 27 years
Scott does good work.
8-)
I don't see why they don't just pump them full of heroin. Guaranteed death, and no-one will complain that they're suffering. And it's not as though the police don't confiscate an adequate supply.
Good point. 27 years of waiting for 34 minutes of death. Sounds okay to me.
I need to know why they dont use a double....neah Quatruple dose to begin with for all the vermin that need killin'.
and of course this being scrappleface...the spin in this story is just for 'sarc' value.....
1) Excuse me, but exactly who are these helpless victims? The convicted murderers or the innocent people they brutally killed?
2) Amazing how easy it is for Florida to stop ridding the earth of monsters but it was too much trouble to stop Terri's lenthy and torturous execution.
no one seems too concerned that the victims deaths were cruel and inhumane....and they were not criminals or deserved to die....
every liberal is always abou the rights of the criminals!!!!
Hang 'em. Shoot 'em. Gas 'em. Spark 'em.
Murders Put on Hold

That's pretty damn decent of the criminals to suspend... oh, never mind.
I wonder why execuyion by shooting isn't a humane method there. Quick death is the humanity of execution and bullets are quick - just shoot at head.
We have been waiting 27 years ...already
