did coin that delightful word, "factoid". He used it in the Village Voice to describe newspaper coverage of the murder of a model by her gangster boyfriend. He compared coverage in the Daily News, Post and NY Times to what "was known" about the case. Even the NYT engaged in more than a little fictionalization. Who'd a thunk?
He's funny guy, sometimes.
Obviously he doesn't understand - or chooses to ignore - the difference between a "conspiracy" and the natural effect of mutual interest. This failure to comprehend human nature is the thread common to all Marxists.
