Two Latvian soldiers killed, three wounded in Iraq

TALLINN – Two Latvian soldiers were killed and three were wounded in Iraq on Wednesday when a bomb exploded under their patrol vehicle near Baghdad, the Latvian Defence Ministry said.

The Baltic state has a 113-strong force in Iraq.

darn , until I read the article I was about to say, dang the whole latvian army is killed. well at least 2% anyway.

May these brave men rest in peace. I saw some of their soldiers when I was there, and there were female vendors from one of the Baltic States. I cannot recall for sure which one, but they were quite popular with all of the troops.
