"Hiding behind paper hung over the windows of his office, Nifong issues written statements and refuses to talk with North Carolina reporters. Yet Thursday he gave a three-hour interview to The New York Times."

I assume the person who wrote this editorial has some suspicion that Nifong may not have handled the case properly, but I believe the above statement more accurately addresses her dissatisfaction with the Prosecutor. At least Mr. Nifong has managed to upset everybody in some way or another and there will be continued fall-out. Every time someone stands up to his idea of justice is a victory -- no matter what direction it comes from.

Once Nifong was ensnared by the New Black Panthers there was no going back.

He refused to meet with the defense attornies, never met with the accuser till last week, but he welcomed the black radicals.
