The Sandy Burglar story revisited ...(story is breathtaking – from beginning to end)
WND ^ | December 29, 2006 | Joseph Farah

More amazing details of former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger's theft and deliberate concealment of classified documents emerged last week – just before the Christmas holiday, at a time few Americans were watching the news.

In a report by National Archives Inspector General Paul Brachfeld, we learn, more than three years after the crime against the American people and the laws of the land, that Berger hid some of the documents under a construction trailer.

We also learn that at first no law enforcement agencies were even notified of suspicions about the crime.

We learn that his first "cover story" was that he might have inadvertently thrown the papers in the trash.

We learn he admitted retrieving the documents he stashed under the construction trailer and brought them to his office.

We learn the reason he was not confronted earlier – and that law enforcement authorities were not notified – was because of Berger's high-level position in the Clinton White House.

And let's remember what Sandy Burglar was doing rummaging through classified materials in the National Archives. He was on assignment for former President Clinton, to help prepare him for upcoming testimony before the 9/11 commission as well as to prepare himself for impending testimony before the Senate and House intelligence committees.

Specifically, he was reviewing National Security Council documents about Osama bin Laden, al-Qaida and Sudan. Now, as you might recall, if you have a very good memory, the Clinton administration was offered bin Laden's head on a platter by the Sudanese government – an offer spurned by the White House.

The MSM cannot focus on this story when they have urgent newsbreaks about Rosie vs. Trump!

If it wasn't the mean dyke and the pompous entrepreneur... it would have been Laura Bush's deception over her medical procedure. In short, there was no way the DBM would revisit this DNC treachery.

Until we grab them by the neck and hold them accountable... expect to receive your daily beating.

It's stories like this that contributed to my loss of faith of the Republican leadership and their lack of stones to prosecute openly criminal activity of democrats.

The MSM is also trumpeting the fast and loose Woodward statements that President Ford was against the Iraq war. They have yet to mention DeFrank's (Daily News) rebuttal of same.

The whole story is so breathtaking – from beginning to end. It demonstrates so clearly that there are two standards of justice in America – one for the average American citizen and the other for the political elites.

I would say that there are THREE standards: one for Democrat 'elites', one for Republicans (higher than Dems, but still relatively low), and one for the rest of us.

Legal consequences for Republican office-holders is low, but the political & ethical consequences are still relatively high. A Republican is much more likely to pay with his career than a Democrat.

This more than any other reason has caused me to lose faith that America will remain free and strong. As someone with a clearance, I am utterly disgusted that he got off so easily and the system is broken. This man committed nothing short of treason and should be breaking rocks in Leavenworth, along with whoever(s) it is (3 guesses)he protected by lifting classified documents.

Berger is not guilty by reason of sloppiness.

There has to be some reason that people like Berger don't really pay a price. He still gets treated as though he is respectable in much of the media. Of course we know since he is a Dem, he is more revered for his treachery. I sure would like Bush to rid himself of Alberto Gonzales. He just seems to be useless.

Burglar wanted to protect Clintoon and his involvement for arming AL-QAEDA in Bosnia. He wanted to cover the fact that he worked with Iran for those arms. He wanted to hide the fact that Clintoon had every damn opportunity to hit Bin Laden and he didn't. He wanted to hide the fact that Mohammed Atta was present in central Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1994 and was involved in the greater Islamic cause that Clintoon supported.

Let's get down to the brass tacks here. There is testimony from military personnel as well as recovered documents to this information. Look it up.

Makes me furious!! And this is what worries me about the entent to which Hillary will go to get in the Oval office; that would be the one so recently defiled by her "husband" and partner in crime!

There has to be some reason that people like Berger don't really pay a price. He still gets treated as though he is respectable in much of the media.

What I would like to know is why the US Attorney General, a Republican, didn't bring charges against Sandy Berger when he had the chance? (I know, it was plea bargained to a ridiculously low fine) The reason that Berger still has such stature in the Media is that the MSM realizes that Berger's actions were in the service of a higher ideal -- covering the Clinton Administrations historical reputation. This they approve of, so Berger's actions can be written off as a means-to-an-end.

The Republicans had nothing to lose by throwing the book at Berger. It was obvious to me that the outcome of the 911 Commission, as it would be spun in the Media, would not be good for the Bush Administration. It would, in effect, become a tool of the Clintons to tar Bush. By nailing Berger Bush could have made it undeniable that the Clinton Administration bore the brunt of the responsibility for the events of 9/11.

That the Bush Administration passed on the opportunity to prosecute the National Security Advisor of the previous administration speaks volumes, but what it says is that the 'Game' is elsewhere.

I wish our elected representatives would take a more aggressive and offensive approach to highlighting the Democrat's never-ending "Culture of Corruption"

It is ashame that the Vice President's wife has more fight in her than any elected Republican we have in Washington.

Woodward is a turd, What I heard Ford say was that he wished President Bush had not promoted the Iraq war based on the WMD theory.
