The "Red Ball Express" in WWII was manned pretty much by 20 somethings.

They did a good job.

Now, about driving from Dearborn to Miami to drop a load, that would depend on how fast you want the shipment to move and how quick you want to get paid. If you can get a pickup at Miami and not at Cleveland then you go to Miami.

WWII was before the Interstate HIghway system and 40 foot containers on trailers.

I learned highway driving when tractor trailers were smaller than some of today's RVs. LOL!!
