Anybody ever play Passout? The boardgame where you roll dice and have to drink or light up depending on the space you land on. And when you get all the way around the board you had to pick a "Pink Elephant" card which had a tongue twister on it that you had top read without messing up. You had to get ten Pink Elephant cards to win. I never got more than three.

Dangit, I saw those games at Target and wanted to get one for my brother in law. Would have made a great homecoming gift when he returns from the Middle East.
Actually this helps solidify my recent vow to shop only at Wal Mart.

Glad I bought my LCR game from a kiosk in the middle of the mall... Got a copy of that for Christmas. Incredibly boring game. 'Twas like something a 3rd grade teacher uses to keep the kids busy on a Friday afternoon or the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Rates for binge drinking generally defined as the consumption of at least five drinks in one sitting Who the f$%k dreams up this rubbish? How long is a "sitting"? And what kind of drinks?

"five drinks in one sitting"
One football game. Along with chips, dip, nachos, etc.

From the article;
"It's unclear whether such games have been linked to any deaths or serious injuries, but the controversy over them comes as anti-abuse groups are stepping up efforts to reduce binge drinking, particularly among teens and young adults."

I don't know, but watch out for that Hennigan's.

I hear Poland Creek bottled water is a good cure for a hangover from it, though.

In a related move, Kohls and target said they will no longer use the quarter as a change denonomination.
Spoksperson Nan Nany said "to many college kids 'bounce' quarters off table tops into waiting beverages and are encouraged to 'drink' to retrieve the coin for another round of the game. We will dispence all change in dimes and pennies which are more difficult to bounce"

My son-in-law and all his good ol' boy 20 something frinds play something called "@$$hole". You use a deck of cards and along the line someone becomes "president" and can make up any damned rule he or she wants (within reason) ... usually something along the line of .."If you don't say "Is it my turn?" .. when it IS your turn .. and somebody catches you, you have to take a drink. Stupid stuff but loads of fun ... I forget how the last person becomes the last person, but that last person is the @$$hole.
Another is quarter bouncing into a shot glass ... miss and you take a drink ... make it and pass the shot glass.
We don't need no steenking store bought games.

Its how they get exaggeratedly large numbers to justify their organizations existence, and ever increasing funds demands.
And if I stand up when I drink, does that still count as a "sitting"?
It could be worse. You could live in England where they were exploring (and may have) banned drinking while standing up!
Seems they have determined that drinking while standing up causes people to fight.
