I had a doctor appointment the other day, and I picked up a copy of Time in his waiting room.
Then I remembered the wise words from one of my old professors who told me "Cliff Notes are for people who can't read for themselves. Time and Newsweek are for people who can't think for themselves."
So I put the magazine down and spent the rest of my waiting time checking out the nurses, trying to stay away from the sick people who came in, and trying not to pass gas... ;)

trying to stay away from the sick people who came in, and trying not to pass gas... ;)Uh, passing gas will keep the sick away from you. Just a tip...

The last was a tactical mistake. By gassing out aggressively you might have been able to jump the queue and be the first patient seen by your doctor [either by gassing the others out of the waiting room or by inducing into the nurses an earnest desire to see you off ASAP]
