In this AP story which I spotted on FoxNews.com, the wire's reporter Chet Brokaw sums up the story of South Dakota state senator Dan Sutton of Flandreau, who's mired in allegations of improper behavior with an 18-year-old male page. You can read the story for all the details if you're interested, but what I wanted to point out was the party affiliation of the Senator. Care to guess? If you said "Democrat", you're right. And where does that information appear? Why, in the very last sentence, of course.
I was unable to learn anything about Chet Brokaw, but given the last name, and given that Tom Brokaw is a native of, and still has ties to, South Dakota, is Chet a relative of the former NBC anchorman? Does anyone know?
In Democrat circles he's now number one on the list to replace Tim Johnson.
From Wikipedia on Brokaw: "He has been married to Meredith Lynn Auld (a former Miss South Dakota and author) since 1962. They have three daughters, Jennifer Jean, Andrea Brooks and Sara Auld." No Chet there. They don't mention other relatives.
OK, lets turn to the next page...LOLOLOLOL
Meadow Muffin
Flandrau is also where Bill Janklow is from.
Bad behavior seem to be bi-partisan in that city.
But it's okay if it's a member of the 'DEMOCRAT PARTY' (just to rub all those DU lurkers the wrong way hehe). There could be a rape video - sheesh, a snuff video, and none of it would matter to the media. We'd all be lectured about privacy between consenting gay adults.
Gingrich, Giuliani, Livingston, etc, etc.
They all do it.
:)
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR SEXUAL MISCONDUCT!!!!!!
(unless you're a democrat)
The Philanderer of Flandreau?
The sleazier, the better for the future success of a Democrat politician. Just like a septic tank, the really big chunks float to the top.
Now there's a reporter name. I hear he's dating Huntley Brinkley.
THAT's where my tag-line went...
That was the first thing I looked for when I first saw an article about this! After i read 75% of the story and it did not mention party affiliation I just knew he had to be a Dem. The media are totally predictable when it comes to this sort of thing.
Chuck?
The question is when did the page turn 18 and did the improper contact begin before the age of 18?
Balderdash to you. His point is that party affiliation is played down when it's democrats, not that republicans don't do it.
